The old adage "never wear white after Labor Day" is just that - old. These days, there are no rules in fashion. You can and should wear white whenever you want, and as seen over and over again on day 2 of NYFW, white can be worn from head-to-toe. Every season, whether I can attend or not I look at as many Fashion Week shows as I can - noting trends and pinning my favorite looks.

The one trend that stood out to me the most at New York Fashion Week was the use of fur - not just the inclusion of fur BUT the very specific asymmetric styling of the fur scarf. See how 3.1 Phillip Lim, Thakoon, Creatures of the Wind, Michael Kors, and Jason Wu all incorporated asymmetric fur in their collection.

Though I was unable to attend New York Fashion Week this year, I still love keeping up with the shows and pinning my favorites on my Fashion Weeks Pinterest board. One accessory trend that stood out to me this year was belts! I've always loved the look but will admit I often forget to take advantage of the accessory's waist cinching capabilities.
