Pop-In @Nordstrom for their French Fling

Nordstrom has launched “Pop-In @Nordstrom,” an ongoing series of themed pop-up shops in eight Nordstrom stores (including our local Nordstrom in Tyson's Corner!) and online at Nordstrom.com.

The first pop-up is an homage to all things French with ‘French Fling,’ featuring a hand-picked selection of French-inspired goods ranging from designer duds to colored pencils to one-of-a-kind clutches and more.

Why Paris?
The first round of pop-ups was inspired by Olivia Kim's, Nordstrom Director of Creative Projects, visit to Paris for Fashion Week in March – she led Pete Nordstrom on a tour of the city, introducing him to her favorite bakeries, restaurants, flower shops, book stores, and spots to shop. The trip inspired Kim to bring her favorite places and products from Paris to Nordstrom customers back home in the U.S.
“I fell back in love with one of the most beautiful cities in the world with all these wonderful objects, designers, artists, and creators,” Kim says of the trip. “I’ve always had a fascination with all things French, and I looked for things I wanted for myself and thought ‘if I want this, maybe other people do too.’”

What products will be available at Pop-In @Nordstrom?
The merchandise available will include: exclusively designed limited-run Olympia Le Tan book clutches, traditional Saint James boat shirts with custom-designed embroidered patches, vintage handbags, jewelry and accessories, Repetto ballet flats customized with metal charms, exclusive Kenzo sweatshirts, Rodarte tees and hoodies, and Distributed Art Publishers books on French design, as well as home and gift items from Paris-based retailer Merci.

French Fling opens today, October 10th, until November 10th in the select Nordstrom stores (Downtown Seattle, WA, San Francisco Centre, CA, Santa Monica, CA, Aventura, FL, Tysons Corner Center, VA, Michigan Avenue, IL, Garden State Plaza, NJ, & Ala Moana Center, HI) and at Nordstrom.com.

    1. Did you ever make it? It's tough for me to get out there too (especially without a car). They've got a new pop-in now called 4U Brite Lites Gift City. I want to check that out too. xo
