Throwback Thursday to the M Dot Design event I co-hosted with Haya of Good Good Gorgeous and Krystin of Be Loud Be You. M Dot Design Studio is a Los Angeles-based Design House founded by fashion designer, Michelle Aquino. She creates high quality, hand-made, custom tailored ready-to-wear fashion and lifestyle products that are made completely in-house. By producing smaller runs, in most cases no more than three of a color, M Dot produces clothing specific to the person and not the masses.

M Dot also specializes in pop-up shopping events and social mixers at W Hotel destinations in the US. Past events have included W San Francisco, W Hollywood, W Los Angeles-Westwood, W San Diego, and W Scottsdale. The events feature items from M Dot Design Studio collections and also target the best local fashion designers, artists, professionals, boutiques, sips, and flavors from each host city. Our event at W Washington DC on June 11th was M Dot's first East Coast pop-up and featured local jewelry designer, Sophie Blake Jewelry, Costella Handbags, MAU Jewelry, Amy Agamemnon Jewelry, Leoluca Handbags, and Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics.

This post was delayed mostly due to the sore throat I woke up with the next day (and that lasted two weeks). It was all worth it to be a part of such a fabulous and unique event. Thank you so much to Michelle Aquino for the opportunity and beautiful outfit, to the W for the yummy drinks and food, and to everyone who stopped by to shop and say hi!
